We want to introduce to you our new confidential contact persons. They are here to ensure the well-being of our members. If you need someone confidential to talk to, experience any issues such as undesirable behaviour within NCF or are not sure how to handle a certain situation, they are the first point of contact. They will also attend big events, so if necessary you can always go to someone of them there. Get to know them on this page!
You can always email them at confidentialcontactperson@sa-ncf.com or approach them at campus.
If you prefer to speak to someone else, you can reach out to the Campus Fryslan Study Advisors, the Campus Fryslan DEI Committee, or the RUG social safety centre.
Marla
My name is Marla (she/her) and I am part of the CCP team this year. I am 20 years old, born and raised in Germany, but came here to the Netherlands to study at Campus Fryslân. I am part of the 2024-2027 GRL cohort, following the Philosophy, Politics and Economics major. When I am not at university or studying, I like to spend my free time writing, playing football, drawing or reading.
As a fellow neurodivergent student, I understand how taxing and exhausting university life can be in terms of overstimulation, scheduling and more. If you are experiencing trouble with any of this, do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Apart from that of course you can approach me (or any of the other CCP’s) for any worry or problem you are experiencing as a member of NCF and the Campus community. If you ever feel anxious, unsafe or otherwise troubled, do not hesitate to reach out. Depending on what you need, I can simply sit with you and listen, offer some advice or give you resources and guides to official help services.
Do not hesitate to reach out, we are here to support you!
Sincerely,
Marla
Jurjen
My name is Jurjen, and I am a part of the CCP team at NCF. I’m 23 years old, proud Frisian, and a first year student at DSS. I’m part of the Confidential Contact Person team at NCF because I believe in creating a space where everyone feels safe, heard and respected. Before this, I studied European Languages and Cultures for a short time where I explored my love for languages.
Besides this, I have worked as a manager in hospitality and have got a lot of
experience dealing with leadership and dealing with all sorts of situations.
I thrive in high-stress moments and always offer a listening ear to anyone who needs to get something off their chest. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or unsafe, you can always contact me or one of the other CCPs. Even if you just want someone to talk to, we are here to support you. Besides a listening ear, we can offer guidance to the right people and are able to accompany you to the services and support you need.
Whatever’s on your mind,
we are always there!
Sincerely,
Jurjen
Daniel
My name is Daniel, and I am part of the CCP team at NCF. I’m 26 years old, from Germany and study GRL in the 2024-27 cohort, following the Ecology, Energy & Climate major. Before studying at CF, I worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT –essentially a paramedic with less training) for the German Emergency Rescue Service.
I loved working with patients in stressful emergency situations and the dynamic, constant exposure to colleagues, patients, and medical staff. I joined the CCPs to continue pursuing my passion for helping people in difficult situations by listening to them and supporting them whenever needed.
You can come to me (or one of the other CCPs) if you ever feel unsafe, anxious, stressed, or unwell in any aspect of your life – whether that be private, social, or academic – and would like support from a fellow student. We are here to support you, whether that means listening to you, guiding you to resources for official help, or accompanying you to such services. Rest assured that you can come to me with anything and everything – I have probably already seen, heard, or dealt with it before – confidentiality guaranteed.
Sincerely,
Daniel
